About the founder

I am not an engineer, a therapist, a guru, or even an app developer.

I am someone with a deep desire to live life intentionally and cultivate as much emotional freedom as possible.

I have experienced pain, loss, fear, victimhood, and many seasons of my life being at war with myself and reality. About ten years ago, in the throws of postpartum depression, I became obsessed with understanding my suffering instead of continuing to live at its mercy. Through that obsession, I have come across some tools that have helped me become a more peaceful, loving, happy, and responsible person. These tools have come from books, therapy, coaching, 12-Step programs, Tony Robbins, wise friends, God, and more than a decade of practicing them.

I don’t claim to have everything figured out and I won’t make any promises about what you can expect from your experience with these practices. I offer you what has genuinely helped me.

These tools have had the greatest impact on my life and I have organized them into something practical that you can use every day as you need them. This is the app I wish I had when I started my journey.

Know Thyself is about learning to see yourself honestly so you can choose your life more intentionally. It isn’t about becoming someone else- it’s about paying attention to the life you are living so you can stop repeating old patterns that maybe once were helpful, but that you’ve grown out of.
This is a lot of HOW to do the work. Everyone talks about it, but no one really walks you through how to do it. These are practices I continue to use almost every day. With use, they become less individual exercises and more of a worldview and mindset. They have helped me replace reactivity with intention, victimhood with agency and responsibility, and the inner war with myself into greater peace. My mind is no longer a battlefield.

This is not an autobiography. This is an invitation to practice alongside me.
My hope is that this work helps you suffer less, direct your attention towards the life you actually want, and experience more peace, freedom, and intention in your life.
